Join early childhood, elementary, middle and secondary level educators and artists from around the country as we explore the intersection of critical thinking and creative storytelling to demonstrate that PLAY does indeed equal high-quality LEARNING, engage CREATIVITY and fuel CRITICALLY LITERATE THINKING.

Neighborhood Bridges Pre-Conference
(Monday, August 16 – Wednesday, August 18)
The Pre-Conference is a two day in-depth laboratory that will explore the Bridges philosophy and pedagogy. Participants will experience tools that support this learning and will be able to take these strategies and apply them to their own teaching.
2010 Neighborhood Bridges Conference
(Wednesday, August 18 – Friday, August 20)
The Conference will include both national and local Bridges practitioners sharing their experience with the program. Topics will include how Bridges has been adapted for the early learners, challenges and new techniques to animate and embody critical literacy in the Bridges classroom, assessment tools, and fundraising strategies.
