Position description:

Neighborhood bridges, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, seeks a part time development director to spearhead fundraising and sponsorship opportunities in support of its mission and 43 communities.

The successful candidate will be asked to work 20 hours per week, work remotely, and can set their own schedule. This is an independent contractor position that includes a weekly salary plus commission. The development director will report directly to the CEO and will be expected to provide bi-weekly reports.

We are looking for an experienced sales/development professional who seeks a work life balance, is a self-starter, and can grow with our organization. The successful candidate will work in cooperation with the CEO to plan and implement a development and fundraising plan to provide for the short and long-term needs of the organization. Calling on business leaders, making presentations via Zoom and/or in person, managing relationships, and being able to speak confidently about our mission and goals are essential. Experience with social media is expected.

Our goal is to have the successful candidate begin working on June 15, 2023 or sooner.

About neighborhood bridges

Founded and launched on Martin Luther King Day in 2017, neighborhood bridges was created to partner with local school districts in engaging communities to drive impact and kindness to at-risk students and families. The charity has grown to serve more than 40 communities in Ohio, Alabama, and Mississippi and seeks 50% growth in new communities in 2023 and again in 2024. To date, neighborhood bridges has successfully driven impact to more than 344,000 students, and in 2022 the organization surpassed more than $2 million in annual revenue.
